Winter Warmer Porridge with Sweet Blood Orange Syrup

Porridge best made just before serving.Sauce can be made in advance and kept in the refrigerator. Serves 2-3. 

Ingredients 

5 Blood oranges juiced.

½ cup of sugar.

Instant Porridge. 

Process 

Squeeze blood oranges to produce 500ml of juice. Place in a small saucepan with sugar and simmer slowly until mixture reduces by approximately half and turns to syrup. Prepare instant porridge as per directions on the packet. Serve porridge topped with Blood Orange Syrup, plain yogurt and fresh banana.
